The next Irish citizenship ceremony will take place on 30th of September 2019 in Killarney Convention Centre.
The Minister for Justice and Equality has obtained cabinet approval for a proposed Bill to resolve the continuous residence issue and a bill will be brought before the Houses of the Oireachtas in mid-September. Their advice to prospective applicants is to "continue to collect all the necessary proofs that support your application and to submit a comprehensive application form." For full statement read here.
As and from 16/08/2019 applicants for naturalisation are no longer required to register with the Department of Social Protection for a Public Services Card (PSC).
